And finally.......

We're in! Got the keys today and have been round there this evening looking at it for the first time with no furniture and it generally looks fairly good - there's definitely a fair amount of work to do to get it all up together, but for the most part it'll just be painting.

We're having the sofas delivered tomorrow, and we're also being quoted for carpet in the upstairs bedrooms - then come the weekend it's flatout cleaning the place and starting to move bits and pieces in then probably look to move in a week Saturday.

The kitchen

2nd time I've posted this - for some reason it when straight in the archives so here it is again - the kitchen. Posted by Picasa

3 and a half months later and..................

Finally exchanged contracts! That means it's 99.9% sure that we will move in next Thursday.

The garden

Not really too sure what we're going to do here either - we'd quite like to have a bigger patch of grass by moving the vegetable patch over to the right of the path - and it would be nice to replace the path with someone else - concrete just isn't my thing. Posted by Picasa

The front of the house

This is the front - as you can see the lovely lady who currently lives there is very fond of her plants and the front garden is very well planted - we'll probably trim it back a bit. Also going to look at doing something about the ivy too - I likes a bit of ivy just as much as the next bloke - but it always nicer when it's trimmed and well kept. Posted by Picasa

The dining room

This is the dining room - again we still don't really know what we're going to do with it - so many years of living in magnolia wood chip wallpaper student pads has made me completely blind to other colours and any sense of style - think we'll probably change the yellow though - it is nice, but we'd defintely prefer more neutral colours. The living room

None of the rooms in the house are huge - they're all fairly cosy I'd say. This is a view of the living room - the door you'd come in on would be to your right. Think a coat of paint will be the first priority - I like Salmon, but not on my walls, and it reminds me too much of endlessely dead heading new Guinea Ipatiens at Gardenlands! Posted by Picasa

First Post

Hi all, with our imminent house move it seemed like a good idea to start a blog to keep friends and family up to date on how we are getting on, and to provide ourselves a record of our lives so check back every so often for new content.
